Sign Builder Illustrated is the “how-to magazine” of the sign industry. This monthly publication targets sign professionals where it matters most: in the sign shop. From sales and design to fabrication and install, our highly read magazine presents vital information about [I]all[I] aspects of the sign-making process.

Each issue includes SBI’s signature “How-to” columns and features (many written by actual sign makers), with detailed, step-by-step instructions covering a wide range of signage. In addition, each issue includes project recaps, trends analysis, industry news, and the latest product releases.

 

Sign Builder Illustrated has even expanded beyond the printed page. Jeff Wooten has helmed Sign Builder Illustrated magazine as its Editor for the past 20 years. He has written and edited numerous feature articles covering a wide range of sign-related topics and projects (dimensional, graphics, lighting, installation, business management, etc.), penned industry analysis, developed special presentations in the magazine (such as the annual “Young Sign Makers” profile), put together white papers, and developed marketing content. Mr. Wooten has also participated in panel discussions at various sign industry events and served as a judge for several sign-related contests. He is also an advocate for better business practices and standards amongst manufacturers and sign shops alike and looks forward to keeping SBi at the forefront of must-read how-to content enjoyed by sign makers.​

Ashley Bray is the Managing Editor of SBi and is a ten-year veteran of the industry. Ms. Bray has extensively covered industry topics—from digital printing to lighting to dimensional signage—for the magazine, its website, and the SBi Update newsletter. She has also helped to elevate the role of women in the industry, most recently serving as the moderator of the inaugural panel session for the Women Leading the Industry initiative in partnership with the ISA.
